 Sayfiddin’s Caravanserai    Today was the second day of practise and we went to the Sayfiddin's Karavanserai. Actually it was my first visit to this place. So I learned many interesting information.  One of specialized places  in Bukhara is Sayfiddin’s Caravanserai , built in the XIX century. Caravanserais served as a kind of parking and a shelter for wandering merchants, a place for rest and lodging, the likeness of a modern hotel or motel. Inside, travelers could store their goods in special storage rooms, feed animals in designated pens, have a snack in a teahouse or take a bath. Another special place in a caravanserai was the exchange money point. Sayfiddin’s Caravanserai was considered a state-run and was a place of shelter mainly of rich merchants (bais) engaged in trade in gold, pearls, diamonds and other precious metals.   Today we started our first practise. So our destination was Nugay caravanserai. Among a great deal of sights, which decorate beautiful Bukhara  is  Nugay caravanserai in particular. This unique construction was founded in XVI century, when Muhammed Rakhimbiy Khan ruled here.     Nugay, which is currently one of the most famous historical places in Bukhara, is located in the very heart of the old town. It stands near to the trade dome of Toki-Sarrafon and the House of Bukhara merchant.     At those times building of caravanserais was an ordinary thing, and their meaning for single travelers and the whole caravans was really considerable. Under the canopy of trees, growing here, tired travelers satisfied hunger and thirst, and numerous rooms of the caravanserais were giving shelter and helpful rest.
