 Sayfiddin’s Caravanserai 

  Today was the second day of practise and we went to the Sayfiddin's Karavanserai. Actually it was my first visit to this place. So I learned many interesting information. 

Sayfiddin’s Caravanserai

One of specialized places  in Bukhara is Sayfiddin’s Caravanserai , built in the XIX century. Caravanserais served as a kind of parking and a shelter for wandering merchants, a place for rest and lodging, the likeness of a modern hotel or motel. Inside, travelers could store their goods in special storage rooms, feed animals in designated pens, have a snack in a teahouse or take a bath. Another special place in a caravanserai was the exchange money point.





Sayfiddin’s Caravanserai was considered a state-run and was a place of shelter mainly of rich merchants (bais) engaged in trade in gold, pearls, diamonds and other precious metals. According to that, we can say that in this caravanserai there was a good turnover, which reached about 5,000 rubles a day.



Currently, at the entrance to the ancient caravanserai, there are small shops with national souvenirs and handicrafts as a reminder of a once-lively trading place where hundreds of merchants from all over the Great Silk Road used to stop.Practise day was great.

 Today  we went to Mogoki Attori mausoleum. In the centre of Bukhara to the west of the famous Lyabi Hauz square is located the oldest mosque in Bukhara – Magoki Attori – is located.  Today our trip was to the monument Ancient and eternal Bukhara  Bukhara cultural center occupies a special place in the framework of creative works.  The 107-hectare cultural center built on the initiative and idea of ​​the President consists of large buildings - a 700-seat regional musical drama theater, an amphitheater for 2,000 spectators, and between them the "Old and Eternal Bukhara" monument.  Corridors starting from different corners of the cultural center lead to the 18-meter-high "Old and Eternal Bukhara" monument.  The monument was worked by the famous sculptor, artist of Uzbekistan Ilhom Jabbarov.  Our goal for today was to visit the monument of Sayid Bandi kushad. We went to this monument, covering our heads and there while we were waiting for people to come out.   Now l want to share with you some interesting facts about this place. The "Said po Bandi Kusho" mosque located on Khorezm Street in Bukhara city was named after Hazrat Said Abulhasan. Hazrat Said Abulhasan po Band died in 395 Hijri (1004 AD). The lineage goes back to Hazrat Imam Hasan (r.a.) through nine links.
