Piridastgir mosque 22.05.24

 Today we went to the Piridastgir mosque.  I have never visited it. So today I did. 






This mosque was constructed for the memory of Abdul Kadir Jilani.Shaykh Abdul Qadir Jiilani is the founder of the "Qadiriya" sect in Sufism, a promoter of the idea of ​​"engagement and relaxation" (let your heart be free from the world when you are busy with the world.



It was very beautiful and and I was expressed by its silence atmosphere which could give peace to my soul

 Today was the third day of our practise, so our destination was Gavkushon ensemble. The Madressa Gaukushon was built in 1570 under the rule of the Uzbek khan Abdullah Khan II and had a traditional yard layout. The trapezoidal form of the building is explained by its location on the fork of the streets. Buildings in the Gaukushoon Square were built with the money of Sheikh Hoja Said, known under the nickname "Khodja Kalon" ("great hoja"), which is reflected in the name of the mosque and the whole complex. In 1598, from the north of the madrasah, a Friday mosque, called the Hoja Mosque, was built. Khodja Kalon is buried in the family necropolis of the Djuibar Sheikhs in Chor Bakr. Kukeldash madrasah

Today our Practise was on The kukeldash Madrasah In Bukhara, near the famous historical complex   Lyab-i Hauz , the well-known architectural monument   Kukeldash Madrasah   is located (built in 1568 - 1569). It is the largest Bukhara madrasah and one of the largest ones in Central Asia. It was built during the reign of   Abdullah-Khan II   and was funded by Bukhara governor   Kulbab   who ruled the city under several khans and managed to maintain good relations with all of them. For his close relationship with the khans the governor was given the title   Kukeldash , which was one of the highest standings in the khan’s court and meant ‘a milk brother’. Later the madrasah was named after him. Many people believe that  Kukeldash Madrasah  is part of  Lyab-i Hauz  complex, but it is wrong: archaeological excavations and research proved that the madrasah is a separate structure that bears no relation to  Lyab-i Hauz .  Sayfiddin’s Caravanserai    Today was the second day of practise and we went to the Sayfiddin's Karavanserai. Actually it was my first visit to this place. So I learned many interesting information.  One of specialized places  in Bukhara is Sayfiddin’s Caravanserai , built in the XIX century. Caravanserais served as a kind of parking and a shelter for wandering merchants, a place for rest and lodging, the likeness of a modern hotel or motel. Inside, travelers could store their goods in special storage rooms, feed animals in designated pens, have a snack in a teahouse or take a bath. Another special place in a caravanserai was the exchange money point. Sayfiddin’s Caravanserai was considered a state-run and was a place of shelter mainly of rich merchants (bais) engaged in trade in gold, pearls, diamonds and other precious metals.
